When you start to cry during the dedication at the beginning of the book and you realize how connected the author is to these characters, you know you are in for an emotional, beautiful treat!
Back to Bliss we go! Back to my girls in the "I shot a son of a bitch" club, back to beautiful Max behind bars for doing something stupid, back to crazy ole Mel protecting us from aliens, back to Nell and her protesting ways, and back to LOGAN and all the other people that I fell in love with along time ago!
LOGAN is finally back! He comes back to his hometown to cover for an employee who is out on "paternity leave." He tells himself he is only staying for a few weeks, he is not ready to come back to the place where he was broken. He is not ready to face his demons or the people he let down, until he sees his best friend Seth Stark and the ONE woman who makes his palm twitch, Georgia Dawson. Seth misses his best friend and his favorite place in the world, Bliss. He knew he would always end up coming back. Georgia Dawson works for Mr Stark and has grown to geniounly love this beautiful, caring, protective man. He has taken Georgia under his wing and provided her with everything she could possibly want or need. She has also been in love with Logan Green since the day they met. He is her rescuer, her savior. Can she have them both? Can she be enough for these two wonderful, incredibly sexy men? Well, in Bliss.....ANYTHING is possible, you just might have to shoot somebody before you can have your Happily Ever After, plus Seth has plans for the three of them, and what Seth Stark wants, he damn well gets!
"I fell in love with her the minute I saw her, Logan. She's perfect. I might have thought I was keeping her safe for you before I met her. Now I know I'm keeping her safe for us."
I was so excited to start Logan's story. We have read about Logan for a long time, through good times, through bad times, and through the unimaginable times. It is about time this boy, excuse me this MAN, gets his Happy Ending! I envy the bond between Seth and Logan. They grew up together, read comic books together, they knew from the start they were going to have a woman together. No matter what happened in the past, that bond is strong enough to get through anything.
"I've tried to come up with a hundred different words for it. I've called him my brother, my best friend, but it's not exactly right. He's my soul mate and I'll never kiss him. I don't want to. But I want to share a life with him, and that makes me wrong for a lot of people."
Georgia Dawson has become one of my favorite female characters in this series. Like Logan, she has grown up a lot. She's had a tough time through childhood and if it weren't for her brothers (ah, the Dawson Brothers *swoon*) she would have been lost. Sure she was a spoiled brat who craved attention and couldn't act worth a dime, but she was LOVED by her brothers. When she finds the love of these two men, she no longer is that little girl, she is a woman, she is ENOUGH. Oh, and did I mention she is friggin hilarious?!
"She was taking off her pants. She was taking off her pants so Logan could spank her butt. If her friends could see her now."
Not only do we get a whole lot of Logan, but we get to catch up with some of your favorite Bliss residents, including the friendly neighborhood moose Maurice. The Dawson brothers cracked me up. Gemma is still as fiesty and quick witted as ever. Max Harper is still causing trouble for the Doc. Mel is still chasing aliens. Nell and Henry are still living their wonderful, granola ways, and everyone is still having "relations" anywhere and everywhere they can!
If you haven't started this series yet...run, don't walk to your kindle, nook, ipad, whatever the hell you have and buy these books! You WILL fall in LOVE, I guarantee it! After reading Back in Bliss, my heart is so full of love for these characters. It is so rare to find a story that can have that kind of affect on you. It is with great reluctance that I say Goodbye to Bliss, Colorado, until next time my friends.
"This was where he'd grown up, found his friends, his family. This was where he'd truly found his heart and soul."
