My name is Shayna Renee and reading is my passion. I can’t wait to escape reality and dive in to a passion filled love story! I own a Nook, Kindle, iPad, and way too many paperback books to count. I never find myself without a way to read a chapter here and there. My favorite type of book is one that can pull every type of emotion out of me. The uglier the cry I get from reading, the better! It all started when a friend of mine urged me to read a little book called Fifty Shades of Grey. Have you all heard of it? Yeah, I thought so. I found myself wanting to see what else was out there, what was so fascinating about this particular genre. On my journey, I discovered authors like J.R. Ward, Shayla Black, Sylvia Day, and Sylvain Reynard and I was just hooked! After reading these fabulous books for a while, I discovered I really had no one close by to share my thoughts with. That’s when I decided to start a blog; a review blog that could help me get my thoughts out there and in turn get other people’s recommendations and opinions. I absolutely LOVE the authors and romance readers I have met through this journey, and I only hope to continue sharing my adoration of books with you!

The Reluctant Submissive is a perfect short story filled with wonder, lust, and passion. I was captivated from the start. With this story being the first project that these two amazing authors worked on together, I would have to say Rayne Bexley and Zoey Hill are a force to be reckoned with.

Vivian Debree has been dancing for the last 20 years, ever since she was a toddler. All she has ever wanted to do was make it on her own and find her big break. She is no stranger to a casting call, so she knows all to well, the fear of not getting a call back and being rejected. All of that escapes her mind when she is on that stage, and the only thing matters is her being in the moment and doing what she loves the most. Everything changes with her encounter with the gorgeous man in the two thousand dollar suit.

Julian Maddox is the type of man that just oozes sexiness and authority. Being a high class financier in New York he is accustomed to getting what he wants, and he wants his Vivi. Before he even knew her name or where she came from he wanted her. He wanted her as his submissive. His. Julian does not make the same mistake twice. Having never really dealt with something that happened in his past, he realizes he has to be gentle with Vivian. Have her make the choice to be his. He will only give her a gentle push in the right direction.

I loved the storyline with this read. Something different. Something unique and intriguing, and left me wanting more. The sexual tension build up between these two characters was amazing. When Vivi and Julian finally came together it was pure, intense, and raw. I think I was holding my breath the entire time. Julian was beautifully intense and I fell in love with his domineering, arrogant ass right away. I can't wait to learn more about all of these wonderful characters, as well as watch them grown and deal with the ghosts of their pasts. These two authors have brought us a story with so much depth and promise, that you will crave for the next installment. Bravo Ladies!
