Guest Review by Monica of Shayna Renee's Spicy Reads
Rick Weaver is an ex-military man working now as a diver. The company that he works for TCI Treasure Chest Incorporated is hired to bring up a sunken submarine. Rick has been brought in to find out who is sabotaging the efforts.
Enter Miss Monroe Dawson, she seems to be the culprit, she is not at all what Rick is expecting to find. She is a girl and one that stirs his heart a flutter at first glance. Monroe is working on her dissertation in marine biology and she has found out that an extinct variety of sea urchins have been inhabiting this sunken sub. She feels very strongly that stopping the recovery of the submarine and thus saving these creatures is the correct and honorable thing to do. She is a sneaky little thing and has done quite well in delaying the expedition until Rick comes along. Fortunately for TCI and unfortunately for Monroe, Rick is quick to discover her. The sparks quickly fly between the two of them both professionally and personally. The sexual tension is palpable. They seem to be on opposite sides but their attraction to each other is off the charts.
This was a really quick read with an interesting and different story line. It was really well done and had all the parts that a good book needs. Intense attraction between the two main character who of course share some funky and intense sex scenes. There was conflicts and resolutions. The story was well-played out and the ending was quite satisfactory. For a short story with a unique story line it certainly managed to keep my attention and interest until the end.
Very well done for this little romance with some intrigue and suspense thrown in. A definite 4/5.
