Shayna Renee's Spicy Reads

My name is Shayna Renee and reading is my passion. I can’t wait to escape reality and dive in to a passion filled love story! I own a Nook, Kindle, iPad, and way too many paperback books to count. I never find myself without a way to read a chapter here and there. My favorite type of book is one that can pull every type of emotion out of me. The uglier the cry I get from reading, the better! It all started when a friend of mine urged me to read a little book called Fifty Shades of Grey. Have you all heard of it? Yeah, I thought so. I found myself wanting to see what else was out there, what was so fascinating about this particular genre. On my journey, I discovered authors like J.R. Ward, Shayla Black, Sylvia Day, and Sylvain Reynard and I was just hooked! After reading these fabulous books for a while, I discovered I really had no one close by to share my thoughts with. That’s when I decided to start a blog; a review blog that could help me get my thoughts out there and in turn get other people’s recommendations and opinions. I absolutely LOVE the authors and romance readers I have met through this journey, and I only hope to continue sharing my adoration of books with you!

Make sure you connect with me on Goodreads, Facebook, and Twitter!
HAPPY READING!

Determinism (Cara & Abel's Story)

Determinism (Cara & Abel's Story) - LK Collins, Adept Edits LK Collins, you little she-devil you! You are becoming one of my favorite authors with this series! It just keeps getting better! For those of you who have read book 1 FATALISM, you know that LK Collins knows what she is doing. I believe this is only her second book, and I’m blown away how good it was. She is showing so much damn talent for being so fresh in the game. It’s inspiring really. Determinism was just as good as the first book, if not, even better. With more heart, more emotion, and even HOTTER sex scenes, you will definitely enjoy diving in to the worlds of Cara and Abel.

“….she really deserves her happily ever after. I hope one day I can have mine.”

Cara has had it with tattooed bad boys. She is sick of putting herself out there, just to get her hopes shot down when things got real. She is a little broken in a way that I can definitely relate to, which made me enjoy the story even more. She is a great friend, wonderful daughter, and beloved sister, but still feels alone. She wants what every girl wants, a fairy tale love story. I loved Cara in book one and I was so happy to see she got her own story. She worries for her best friend, and is always looking out for her. Cara is the type of friend that I want by my side in any situation, especially when browsing a sex shop! Loyal, protective, and funny as hell, she deserves her happy ending. She loves so damn hard, hearing her story broke my heart.

“All I can give you is me, and I hope that’s enough”

“I don’t need anything more; just don’t hurt me.”

“I won’t. I promise.”

Abel is a gorgeous firefighter, who has tattoos and piercings, AND he rides a motorcycle! Ladies, we don’t stand a chance with this one. Ultimate womanizing bad boy who is used to getting what he wants. Abel is Vincent’s older brother, and they have the best relationship. They look out and take care of each other, and it is incredibly endearing to read about. We get to experience Abel transform in this book. He goes from one night stands, to giving his all to this one woman, who he wants so much, that he is willing to change his ways to be with her. He is intense and sexy, and he is not afraid to get advise from his younger brother or his father. He treats Cara like a princess and tries his damnedest to break down her walls and make her see that he is more than just a tattooed guy who happens to drive a motorcycle. He can be her prince charming if she lets him in.

“Cara, I remember everything you tell me. When we are together, every new memory is carved into my mind.”

Even though the words weren’t said, Abel showed his love for Cara by tapping into the adrenaline junkie in her. I mean what better way to say I love you then going bungee jumping together of a freaking bridge. It was a small part of the story, but also a very important part where I believe they both realized how deep their feelings ran for each other. When these two are not bungee jumping or riding on Abel’s motorcycle, they are having scorching hot, passionate sex. LK Collins outdid herself with this one. So many sex scenes, so little time. Steamy does not even begin to describe their liaisons. The beautiful connection that these two shared was a beautiful thing to experience.

DRAMA! I can’t forget the drama. Every good romance has some drama! Am I right? I was reading along in Determinism, minding my own damn business, loving all the sex that was had, then BAM!!! WORLD CRUMBLED! I didn’t see it coming at all! Guess what people?! Abel has a past…a dark one…a heart breaking one. I cried like a baby. It shocked the hell out of me, AND made me want to punch Abel in the face…a couple times…with a VERY heavy object.

Now, don’t get scared. You know it will all work out, but to surprise me like that, made the reading experience that much better! Bravo LK…Very Well Done!
Who is Sebastian? He is someone that I would like to get under ASAP! Wow! Sexy and mysterious just does it for me. The Alpha Group series came highly recommended and I enjoyed it very much. I was a little nervous, because it took a little bit for me to become fully engaged, but once it hit me, I could not put it down.

Fatalism (Life . Destiny . Fate) (Volume 1)

Fatalism: Alexa and Vincent's Story - L.K. Collins ~*~ 4.5 Stars ~*~

Fatalism by LK Collins has been on my Kindle forever, and I’m so happy I finally got a chance to start this. Fatalism is a beautiful, passionate love story full of so much intensity. Right off the bat, you get sucked in with Vincent’s behavior towards Alexa and vise versa. At first I thought, wow, could this be too much, too fast. But after learning more and more about Alexa’s past and of Vincent’s past, it all seemed to click and work for me, in a big way. I stopped worrying about how major their feelings were towards each other in such a short amount of time, and started really getting in to the circumstances that surround these characters.

It broke my heart to hear how Alexa’s mother treated her after her father left, telling her to watch her weight or she wouldn’t find a man. Ugh! It just pissed me off to no end. It was a full three years since she spoke with her mother. Unfortunate circumstances brought them back together, and it turned out being just another chance where her mother can treat her like dirt. Alexa has so much compassion to just be able to try to reconnect after all the pain her mother put her through. With her father leaving and her mother being such a bitch, it’s no wonder that Alexa feels like she always needs to be in control. And with that frame of mind, there was never any real relationships, just the physical aspect of it all. That is, until fate decides to intervene, and in walks Vincent.

“Do you believe in fate? I mean do you believe that no matter what you do in life your destiny is already planned?”

Vincent is the whole freaking package. He’s gorgeous, rich, successful, has many beautiful cars :) The main thing I was fascinated by was his passion, his intensity, his fire. I couldn’t get enough. Vincent is a man who you want in your bed and by your side at all times. I could live with the jealousy, I could live with the over protectiveness about him. He loves so hard, and protects what’s his. It just so damn sexy! Talk about a man with a horrible past, with his mother dying in front of him, and his fiancé cheating on him. You wonder how he still became so wealthy and successful. Most men would crumble in those circumstances. He may have been successful, but his heart was empty, until a beautiful stranger ran into him and gave him a kiss that would change his life.

“I’ll lose control. I will devour every piece of you and fuck you all night. Then neither of us will sleep because I’ll be buried inside of you. Sleep is the only thing that will allow me to control the beast inside of me.”

I LOVE finding new authors! LK Collins is a brand new author to me, and I am so glad I started this story when I did. I needed a novel like this. A love story like Alexa’s and Vincent’s helps me believe. It helps me to believe in an intense, passionate kind of love, and it helps me believe that fate is not always there to kick your ass, sometimes fate delivers something wonderful and magical. I need my very own Vincent! Do you hear that fate?! Deliver dammit!

“Every word, every feeling, and every emotion I shared with you was from my heart and one hundred percent true. I fucking love you.”
Raine Miller made me a HUGE fan of hers during The Blackstone Affair series. Who thought she could outdo herself with Cherry Girl! Cherry Girl was a heart melting romantic tale of two people who have loved each other for most of their lives. With obstacles thrown in from left to right, their love was strong enough to pull them back together. Not only will this book make you believe in true love, but it will bring out the best in you, it will help you hope and believe that even though fate can be a cruel bitch sometimes, it can also be magnificent and divine.

"Fate can be beautiful and this is an example of one of those times. Don't ever forget this moment...or the gift of it."

I dare you not to cry while reading this. Hell, I cried after Chapter 1 and I was a goner from that moment on. Elaina and Neil are fantastic, relatable characters that will take a hold of your heart and not let go. What happened to these two was unimaginable and would break anyone. Different circumstances, but equally horrible and heartbreaking. We get both POV's which when it works, it helps you to become more involved in the story. Ms. Miller has a way of creating these strong characters that hold such emotion and such heart. They love hard, and they fight hard, and it was so incredible to read. Great plot, great storyline. Cherry Girl was such a page turner, I just couldn't put it down. Be prepared to stay up late, because you will be reading way in to the night, and when you are done, you will need some time alone to just sit and think. I think the kids are calling it a "book hangover." :) Yeah, that is what you will have.

"I want this mouth screaming my name when I'm inside you and you're about to come. I want you in my bed so we can fuck all night long...over and over until you're a slave to it -- just as you used to be."

Let's not forget about the scorching hot, erotic sex scenes in Cherry Girl. I mean, this IS a Raine Miller book, so what you expect, you will certainly get. It's intense, it's passionate, and it's tender. Remind you of some other character in this series? Speaking of that "other character," you may just be blessed with a little bit of his presence in this one! I definitely had a little freak out moment when I saw his name on my Kindle.

Even if you haven't read The Blackstone Affair, Cherry Girl can be read as a standalone, for sure! It holds its own and is so sweet, so endearing, and so damn sexy, you will absolutely have this on your re-read list!

Behind His Eyes - Consequences: Reading Companion to the Bestselling Consequences Series

Behind His Eyes - Consequences - Aleatha Romig Posted on Shayna Renee's Spicy Reads on January 14th! http://shaynareneesspicyreads.com

Remember when you despised Tony, then you liked him, then you hated him again, then he slowly dug his way in to your heart and you fell for him? Well....be prepared to squash those feelings, and try not to throw your kindle out the window. Plain and simple, reading this will bring you back to a very dark place where an extremely dark, manipulative, arrogant man plays GOD. Be prepared to have your heart broken....again.

Everybody thinks they want to know what the HELL Tony was thinking in Consequences. I was one of those people, and I gotta say it wasn't easy reading Behind His Eyes. Before I even started, I stared at the cover for a really long time, contemplating if I was ready for this. Was I ready to get in to Anthony Rawlings head? But once I started, I couldn't put the damn thing down. I must have cursed at my Kindle a hundred times and I even imagined slapping Tony across the face over and over again. Yeah, Behind His Eyes will make you crazy, it will pull emotions from you left and right, and you just won't know what to do with yourself when you get to the end.

In Tony's POV, you will get more insight as to why Tony was so drawn to Claire. You will understand more about the connections, and the vendetta, and just the why of it all. You will get answers, but make sure you are prepared for those answers. You will gather some info on how much power Tony really has and how he went about manipulating Claire's and the people close to Claire's world.

It was interesting to find out how important carrying out Nathaniel's wish was for Tony. He pretty much built his whole world around that wish, and he would do ANYTHING to fulfill it. He ruined people's lives, played with their lives, and chalked it all up to IT JUST HAD TO BE DONE. You wonder how the hell a person like that can fall in love with another human being. Was it really love? What is Tony's definition of love, because it sure as hell isn't the same as mine.

I was so entranced in reading this book, that when the first time Tony struck Claire, I actually flinched! Seriously! And don't even get me started on reading his POV of the so-called "accident." I found myself setting the book down before I read that part. I didn't know what to expect. I expected to be even more pissed off. I think Aleatha did a fantastic job on this part. She didn't dwell on it too much. She gave just the right amount of information, and I appreciated that so much.

I could go on and on, but I don't want to give any spoilers, so I should start wrapping it up. When you are reading this just try to keep in the back of your mind, how you felt about Tony after reading Convicted. It will help....a little bit. If you have read the entire series (which you better have if you are reading this review) then you already know what is going to happen, but you will still be on pins and needles, waiting, holding your breath, wondering if it will turn out different. I think it was an absolute brilliant idea to give us Consequences, Truth, and Convicted in Tony's POV. I can't wait until the next one comes. Maybe...just maybe....we will get even more answers and Aleatha will try to help us understand the conundrum that is Anthony Rawlings.

Playing Doctor (Entangled Flaunt)

Playing Doctor - Jan Meredith Playing Doctor indeed! This was an emotional, beautiful, sexy novella that hits you in all the right places. Both Beth Roberts and Dr. Gabriel North has had horrible and tragic love lives. Beth has no desire to have that emotional connection again, and Gabriel is still grieving and blaming himself for his wife's death. Beth is an RN and Gabriel North is a doctor. What a perfect match for sure. There was that instant connection between the two that had me grinning from ear to ear.

When all the flirting and the light touches are out of the way, they decide on one night, and one night only of just sex! Of course that ALWAYS works out, what a fantastic plan. After that one night and realizing that they have more and common than they thought things start getting real.

Feeling and thoughts that once lay dormant came to life, and the possibilities of new love came back in to the picture. These two both thought they were broken, but when they have each other they found they could heal and live again.

Not only was this an emotional read for me, it was a fun, sexy read as well. This was a well done novella, and it was one of the few that I wish went on longer.

Back-Up (Back-Up, #1)

Back-Up (Back-Up, #1) - A.M. Madden ~*~ 4.5 Stars ~*~

Rock Star Romances are one of my favorite types of Romances to read. There is just something about a gorgeous, confident man who can sing like no one’s business that just makes me weak in the knees. Jack Lair is NO EXCEPTION to this! This lead singer is sex on legs and he is VERY aware of that fact. He is no stranger to woman and his bed is never cold. His life could not be more perfect! Or could it?

“I can’t stop thinking about you. Since my party, you have consumed my thoughts. You have taken over my life.”

Leila Marino has great expectations for herself in the music industry. She wants to be a rock star, and she will make that happen. Currently, a back-up singer for a local unknown band, she gets the opportunity of a lifetime, when by chance, she is invited to audition for Devil’s Lair. Needless to say, she kills it at the audition and everyone loved her. She is signed and is ready to go on the road as Devil’s Lair newest back-up female singer. Of course, she can handle spending so much time with the sexy Jack Lair….right?

“What are you afraid of, Leila? What will be left of me when it ends.”

The fact that Jack Lair can have anyone he wants, the heavy attraction he has for their newest back-up singer scares him. He can’t get involved with her, they can be friends, they can only be friends. Well, we all know that is just crazy talk! Finally, they can’t deny the attraction and the pull any longer. Sparks fly, intense pleasure and passion follow, and the chemistry between them continues to become more intense. In true romance novel fashion, the past threatens their relationship and in turn starts the emotional ride full of ups and downs.

The fact that this is A.M. Madden’s first book, blows my freaking mind. This was a great beginning to what I’m sure will be a great series. I need to know what is next with these two. The great thing about Back-Up is that it gave a good introduction to many secondary characters who I hope to learn more about soon. Back-Up ended with a cliffhanger, but not one that will have you pulling out your hair. I’m very excited for this author and will be looking forward to future projects of hers. Back-Up was very well written and just a good ole sexy rock star romance that you can count on to push all the right buttons.

Hold Me Together

Hold Me Together - Felice Fox This was a short read that just didn't hold my interest. There were some well-written parts, but as a whole it was lacking something for me. From start to end, there were times I was just all out confused. I'm all about reading kinky stories, but one woman with multiple brothers, was a bit much for me. Gavin and Holly just became husband and wife, I mean it is their WEDDING NIGHT, and Gavin decides this is a good idea to tie Holly down and make her listen to him talk about screwing his other brothers, because that is just how they are, and it works for them?

Holly was a character that I didn't like at all. When this was sprung on her, she could have walked away, it would have been hard because she was in love with Gavin, but she would have survived. Instead, she goes back and forth on the idea. She hates it, it's ridiculous, it's horrible. All of a sudden, she turns around and starts falling for his brothers in different ways. It just racked my brain.

I wanted to love this story. I really did. I love sexy, kinky cowboys any day of the week, but this one just didn't do it for me.

Barely Undercover (Legal Heat)

Barely Undercover - Sarah Castille Let me just say that I would read this book based on just looking at the cover alone. Barely Undercover was a great romantic suspense that took me on a journey full of funny banter, plenty of angst, and sexual chemistry that was off the charts. This is my first read from Sarah Castille and she did a good job pulling me in to her world of sexy alpha males and strong females that can hold their own.

"She needed a real man. Big. Strong. Protective. Easy on the eyes. Dominant in the bedroom. Docile in the kitchen. Handy with a mop."

I went back and forth on liking Lana Parker. At first, I thought she was just another ditz female playing PI, but as the story progressed you find out, Yes, she is a horrible PI, but with what she went through in her past and how she can still dive back in to that lifestyle, it was just amazing to me. She is one strong individual. I say she is a horrible PI, and I realize I'm just being mean. Of course, that part of the story made me laugh quite a bit. That, and her banter with her roommate was ridiculously funny. Anyway, she does have some good qualities that help her in her profession. She can adapt well under tense circumstances and she care about the people she is helping. She will never give up, and that is special.

"What we had isn't dead. I hear it in the hitch of your breath. I see it in the flush of your cheeks. I can taste your desire on my lips. And if I stripped you bare, and licked my way down your body, I could find you wet and ready for me."

James Hunter, SEXY AS HELL undercover cop. For the past couple years he has been working undercover as a patched brother for the Hades MC, trying to find a way to get these biker men off the streets. Lana, aka Roxie is a distraction he DOES NOT need. He walked away from her in the past to keep her safe, now she has caught the eye and attention of the Hades president and he is not looking to leave her again. Something isn't right though, she knows things that she shouldn't and she will not walk away no matter how many spankings James, aka ICE threatens her with.

These characters both have pasts that are intervening with the present, and it gets them in a hell of a lot of trouble. When Lana and James were deep in to their characters, it was smoking. Fighting = Intense Passion = Sex everywhere and anywhere! Barely Undercover was a scorching, fun, suspenseful page turner, and even though I read book 2 first, I immediately purchased book 1, Legal Heat right after I finished. Sarah Castille will be one to watch out for!

A WILDer Wonderland - Sexy Stories Of The Season (The WILD Boys Of Special Forces #4)

A WILDer Wonderland - Sexy Stories Of The Season (The WILD Boys Of Special Forces #4) - Angel Payne The entire W.I.L.D. Boys of Special Forces series is fantastic, so it’s no surprise that I absolutely LOVED this bundle of stories. What’s not to love? We are reunited with these sexy, dominant men and their kick-ass counterparts. Not only does Angel Payne create these amazing characters, she also does a great job transporting us to the scenes and making us feel the same emotions as these wonderful characters that we have grown to love. No sugar coating in these stories at all. Garrett, Sage, Zeke, Rayna, Ethan, Ava, and my new favorite WILD boy Tait goes through some really tough situations. Situations that people and couples go through all the time in everyday life. It’s heartbreaking, emotionally draining, and beautiful, and YES you experience all that in only 160 pages or so. I told you Angel Payne was a freakin’ genius!

I pretty much yelled and cried while reading every one of these short stories, but the last story took the cake! If you have been following these books, than you are familiar with my man, Tait Bommer. You will not be prepared for what happens in his story. I wasn’t, and I’m a hardcore fan of this series. Just take a deep breath and know that Ms. Payne has never steered us wrong in the past, and I have faith that this W.I.L.D. boy will get his happy ending.

Just remember before you start any W.I.L.D. Boy book you need to….

“Stretch before breakfast. And eat all your protein.”

You are going to need all your energy to keep up with these gorgeous men!

Make me Yours Evermore, Book 3 (Pierced Hearts)

Make Me Yours Evermore - Cari Silverwood ~*~ 4.5 STARS ~*~

Be prepared to stretch your limit people. Make Me Yours Evermore, is book #3 in Cari Silverwood's Pierced Hearts Series and it's darker, more twisted, and even more fascinating than the ones before it. Lines are crossed in a big way, enough to make me turn away a couple of times while reading. But no matter how disturbing, how provocative or thought-provoking this might be, Cari always sucks me back in and makes me want something I never thought I would crave.

"I'm going to get into your head right there. Where you can never ever get me out."

Throughout this story, my mind was anywhere and everywhere. I liked a certain character, I didn't like a certain character, it just went back and forth. Chris is a sadist, one that has just been given free reign of another human being. He has wanted this power for so long, he will do anything to keep it. He will keep dark, dangerous secrets from his best mate in order to keep him on this path. Andreas was in some ways the opposite of Chris, but as the story flowed we get these glimpses of Andreas coming to terms with how he feels with this situation, he starts to give in to this sense of wrongness about everything.

"Maybe part of this was that I also found her disturbingly sexy all collared and leashed. That scared me."

I enjoyed coming back to Kat's POV. Reading her point of view was fascinating. Having something forced upon you, and finding pleasure in that instance and absolutely hating the fact that you are indeed finding pleasure, it just pulls out a whirlwind of emotions and just throws logic and understanding out the fucking window.

"Control. I wanted it. Didn't want to give it."

I knew before getting in to Make Me Yours Evermore, that I wasn't going to feel that romantic, beautifully erotic aspect. I knew it was going to be tough, gritty, kinky, and raw. The thing is, even knowing what you are going to get yourself into, you still will not be prepared with the level of intense S/m in the storyline. I know a lot of you who read my blog, know that I read my fair share of BDSM novels. This is NOT one of them. The scenes in this book are in no way consensual. I don't recommend reading this series if you are not prepared to go darker and deeper than you have ever had before. These stories stimulated by mind rather than my body. This did not satisfy the romance bookie in me at all, but I can't say there wasn't the aspect of LOVE at all in this book. There were times when Andreas showed bouts of love, even if the way he showed it was not conventional. There were also times when Chris felt a little jealousy with Kat and Andrea's connection, and sometimes jealousy can stem from love. Don't get me wrong, there is no seduction here, just pure unadulterated lust for power and dominance.

Overall, this was another great installment in Cari Silverwood's Pierced Hearts series. If you have read the first two books in the series, you have to know that Make Me Yours Evermore will not contain hearts, rainbows, and butterfly kisses. It contains hardcore, kinky, naughtiness. This author definitely stretches my limits as a reader, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Ride A Cowboy (Cowboy Kink)

Ride A Cowboy (Cowboy Kink) - Desiree Holt This included Back In The Saddle and Eight Second Ride! When Desiree Holt writes something, I read it, plain and simple! She never disappoints me. Both stories were pure sexy, kinky fun! Even though they were both short reads, it was full of very sexy alpha men who knew how to satisfy their women!

"Hot, heavy and hard. I want to spank that gorgeous *** until it turns red and the heat streaks into your juicy little **** and makes it flood with your ****."

To sum it up, these books are full of what Desiree Holt does best! I bow down to the queen of kink!

Playing the Playboy: 2 (Heirs of Damon)

Playing the Playboy - Noelle Adams "Real love takes work. It takes effort."

This was a beautiful, romantic love story! This is Book #2 in the Heirs of Damon series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. I have not read the first one, but after reading Playing the Playboy, I will definitely pick up Seducing the Enemy!

Reaper's Property (Reapers MC, #1)

Reaper's Property (Reapers MC, #1) - Joanna Wylde I LOVE LOVE LOVE MC Romances! There is just something about a down and dirty, trash talking, motorcycle hunk that just screams SEXY for me! Reaper's Property by Joanna Wylde definitely fulfilled my need for this genre. The Reaper's MC series is a series to look out for! I can't wait to get my hands on the next one.

Let's talk about my favorite part of this book, and that of course is Horse! Horse is the type of man, that if he wants something, he will take it. No! He will demand it!

"This pussy is mine. You are mine. I'll fuck you when and where I want, and you can either take it or get the fuck out. Are we clear?'

Now isn't that romantic! LOL! The language in this book my offend some people, so take that as a warning! The quote above is just the tip of the iceberg, and there is plenty of dirty talk to go around! I on the other hand, fucking LOVE the way Horse talks. It's so sexy!

"Fuck, this is gonna piss you off and then you aren't gonna let me stick my dick in you," he muttered.

OMG! See what I mean? Freaking hilarious! Marie at first, will have none of it. She just came out of an abusive relationship and she doesn't want to belong to anyone, let alone, a vulgar and crude biker jerk. Even though she claims this, all along, there is something about Horse's intense stare that just has her trembling inside. After her brother gets in trouble with the club, Marie is given the choice to save him, by being with Horse and doing anything he wants.

This was a pretty intense, emotional journey, and I gotta say, the sex? WOW! Fantastically scorching hot! Joanna Wylde is one author to watch, and this being the first read for me from her, I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

For the Sub

For The Sub - Sierra Cartwright ~*~ 4.5 STARS ~*~ Posted @ http://shaynareneesspicyreads.com

The Mastered Series by Sierra Cartwright is one of my favorite BDSM Romance series ever! And For the Sub just confirmed that for me. Sierra's writing is amazing and her characters she brings to life are beautiful, broken, and have such a realness about them. You can't help but become emotionally attached to these characters. The story lines are always interesting and emotional and the BDSM element is never to hard, not to soft, it's just right for my kind of read. Be prepared to enter The Den curious and shy, and leave ultimately and ridiculously satisfied!

"How expensive are your panties?" "Very," she said. "Sorry in advance." "Occupational hazard, Sir."

Niles Malloy lost the love of his life three years ago, and he has never fully recovered. Every now and then he fulfills his desire for his kinky side by playing with the subs at the Den, where he knows he doesn't have to worry about getting too close to anyone. You could say he has learned to detach his heart while he plays. He can't risk losing someone he loves again.

Brandy Hess is the perfect submissive. She knows just how to please her Dom. Brandy has known Master Niles for a long time, and a simple invitation to play, turns her world upside down. She never realized the impact that one scene had on her life. She wants to know more about this man, emotionally and sexually. Brandy knows that Master Niles has a side to him that no one can touch, no one can break through. But the more she is with him, the more she can't seem to walk away, even though her heart wants to fix this man, her head is screaming...RUN AWAY!

The interaction between Brandy and Niles started at a slow burn, and the more they played with each other, the more sensual and raw their connection had become. They reached a point where they were so in tune with each other, you couldn't help but feel that link, that bond between the two. I don't have to tell you that along with the emotionally aspect of these Mastered books, the play scenes and the love scenes were both scorching hot! There are scenes in the Den, in an elevator, and.....wait for it....a scene with a bidet! No, I am not kidding! It's weird, and it's freaking hot! When all is done, and everyone is in love, you exit the Den feeling a bit sad, but that doesn't last long, because you just know that Sierra will invite us back and lead us in to the mind of a tortured Dom and the woman who will heal his soul.

First Kiss (Emma's Arabian Nights, #1)

First Kiss (Emma's Arabian Nights, #1) - Ann Mayburn I’ve done it! I have finally popped my Ann Mayburn cherry! I’ve seen posts about Ann and her books all over Facebook and now I finally get the chance to rave about her myself! First Kiss is book 1 in Ann’s new FemDom series, Emma’s Arabian Nights. First Kiss was a short, sexy, fast-paced romance. Don’t let the short part scare you, because even though it was a quick read for me, it was full of erotic awesomeness! I don’t read a lot of FemDom romances, because there is nothing better than a gorgeous, possessive, demanding Dom. But if Ms. Mayburn keeps creating her male submissives like Ryan, I will not have any trouble reading more FemDom in the future.

Emma is a Pro-Domme who doesn’t normally take house calls for submissives. Her boss and her best friend, Moira, who is a character that I loved by the way, talked her in to speaking with the loaded mysterious male. Something about the man pulled Emma in and she agrees to meet him for one session to see how it goes.

“I want to care for you the way you deserve. I want to worship you and make you happy. I think you’re perfect and I want to treat you the way you deserve.”

That’s all it took. Those three sentences jogged Emma’s memory and rocked her world. Those three sentences brought back memories of regret and the best kiss she has ever had. When Emma finds out the truth, does she have the strength to stay away, or will another kiss pull her back in?

I loved the dynamic between Emma and Ryan. The immediate connection was fierce and sexy. The love and devotion that Ryan has for Emma even after all these years, was beautiful and touching. Ryan makes her forget that she is the Domme, even just for a little bit. He cherishes her, will do anything for her, if she would just give him the chance. The sex scenes were scorching and will leave you panting and wanting more and more. Even though I knew that this was going to end in a cliffhanger type way, it was still hard to let go. But don’t worry, Ms. Mayburn will not make us wait too long, because book #2 is coming out January 2nd! I’ll be counting down the days! I need to know more about this wonderful journey of Emma Simonov and Ryan Darwish.
